Peace and blessings be upon you,

I am delighted and honored to be with you today on this special occasion, as we celebrate the 20th anniversary of the founding of the Cultural International Center, (CIC) which was the first of its kind in Lebanon and the Arab world in the field of open education.

Since our establishment in 2004, in collaboration with esteemed American universities, we have taken a bold and distinctive step in providing a new educational model that opens wide horizons for students and offers them flexible and diverse learning opportunities that align with the demands of the digital age.

We have faced many challenges on this journey, but thanks to Allah and then our perseverance and belief in our vision, we have managed to achieve tangible accomplishments. Open education was not merely a theoretical concept for us; it was a commitment to providing high-quality education characterized by flexibility and innovation, enabling our students to achieve their academic and professional goals regardless of geographical or temporal barriers.

Open education has proven its worth as a powerful tool in achieving sustainable development, as it has contributed to empowering young men and women to access higher education, build their skills and capabilities, and become active members of their communities. Our pioneering experience in Lebanon has inspired many educational institutions in the Arab world to follow in our footsteps and adopt similar educational models that enhance lifelong learning opportunities.

On this occasion, I extend my sincere thanks and appreciation to all our academic and administrative partners who have contributed to the success of the International Civilization Center, and to every student who has chosen to be a part of our journey. I also reaffirm our commitment to continuing development and innovation in the field of open education, benefiting from modern technologies and keeping pace with the rapid changes in the world of knowledge.

In conclusion, we celebrate our achievements today, but we also look to the future with ambition and hope. We are committed to staying at the forefront, continuing to provide open education with global standards, and creating an interactive and inclusive educational environment that contributes to building a better future for our coming generations.
